The Petroleum Alliance of Oklahoma has named Adria G. Berry as its senior vice president of government affairs and public policy. In her new role, Berry will lead The Alliance’s advocacy efforts on behalf of the state’s oil and natural gas industry at the state legislature and in Washington, D.C.
Berry was most recently the counselor to the Oklahoma Secretary of State, where she served as policy counsel for the Stitt administration. Prior to her state service, Berry was vice president of government affairs for the State Chamber of Oklahoma.
“Adria’s proven experience in government and a statewide trade association makes her a perfect fit for The Petroleum Alliance,” Alliance President Brook A. Simmons said. “Adria will play a key role by leading our efforts to educate lawmakers on the vital role the oil and natural gas industry plays in Oklahoma and ensure the long-term viability of our state’s defining industry.”
Berry holds a juris doctorate in public policy and regulation from the University of Tulsa and received her bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Texas at Arlington.
“The oil and natural gas industry is the backbone of Oklahoma,” Berry said. “The people in this industry are hard-working, innovative and can’t be deterred from achieving greatness. I look forward to working with the legislature and key government officials to promote positive changes for the great industry those hard-working men and women are part of.”
