Another look at weak energy tax revenue in Oklahoma

Oklahoma Treasurer Randy McDaniel offers another look at how the ailing energy sector has affected the state’s revenue figures.

He’s released his monthly Gross Receipts to the Treasury report. As reported last week by OK Energy Today, the receipts slipped nearly 5% in August and the oil and gas production taxes took most of the blame.

Total August receipts from all sources were $47.3 million less than August 2019 figures. It was the fifth time since February that monthly receipts were less than those of the previous year.
