While U.S. oil futures held ground and oil stocks dropped for another consecutive week, energy firms in Oklahoma and those with operations in the state saw declines in most cases. Down, down, down seemed to be the pattern for the day.
Devon Energy dropped 28 cents or 2.55% to settle at $10.70 in Wednesday’s trading. SandRidge Energy suffered a 5.81% or 10 cent drop before settling at $1.62.
Continental Resources, Inc. dropped 70 cents or 3.89% to $17.28. Williams Companies, Inc. fell 34 cents or 1.59% to $21.05 per share. Chesapeake Energy Corporation was down 6.52% or 33 cents to $4.73 per share. Cypress Environmental Partners, LP ended the day down 4.33% or 11 cents at $2.65.
Enable Midstream Partners LP saw a 2.13% or 12 cent decline to $5.51. Alliance Resource Partners LP ended the day down 4 cents or 1.19% at $3.31. Helmerich and Payne dropped 25 cents or 1.49% to $16.57.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. slipped 29 cents or 1.85% to $15.35. Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. finished down $1.33 or 3.40% at $37.78 per share. Mammoth Energy Services slid 2 cents or 1.46% down at $1.39.
