Ovintiv reports 5-well production of 4,000 barrels a day

 

At a time when oil is virtually worthless and sellers were paying buyers to take the off their hands, Tulsa based Ovintiv-Mid Continent Inc. reported discovery of a five-well pad producing nearly 4,000 barrels of oil a day in the STACK.

Completion reports filed this week show the five Franklin Fiu  1508 wells were located at 1 15N 8W or a site about 3 miles southwest of the city of Kingfisher. The wells had spud dates in October and November of 2019 and drilling finished in November and December with completions made in February 2020.

The largest produced 979 barrels of oil a day along with 1,585 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,105 feet in the Mississippian according to its completion report.

A second well produced 974 barrels of oil a day and 2,141 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,781 feet.

The third largest producer had 895 barrels of oil a day and 1,450 feet of gas from a depth of 19,224 feet. The fourth well produced 660 barrels of oil a day and 1,392 Mcf of gas from 19,400 feet.

The last and smallest produced 460 barrels of oil a day and 1,186 Mcf of natural gas at a drilling depth of 18,860 feet.

A completion report on a 2018 well drilled by Travis Peak Resources LLC of Houston was filed, showing the Elmenhorst 1h-06-07 in Canadian County had production of 1,022 barrels of oil a day and 1,985 Mcf of natural gas. Located four miles southeast of El Reno at 6 11N 6W, the well had a June 2018 spud date and completion was made in August 2018.
