No letup in Ovintiv drilling activity in Oklahoma

 

Two more completion reports were added by Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. this week to a four well single pad site in Stephens County making for combined production of more than 3,200 barrels of oil a day from the six wells.

The two Mary J-2-4-25-36 wells were drilled on the same pad at 24 2N 4W where four wells were also completed in January of this year. The latest included a well with production of 434 barrels of oil a day and 1,840 Mcf of natural gas and another with production of 597 barrels of oil a day and 2,731 Mcf of natural gas.

The wells had drilling depths of 21,744 and 22,170 into the Woodford formation respectively.

The previous four wells had production of 403, 550, 603 and 655 barrels of oil a day from the site located west of Elmore City.

Marathon Oil showed activity in Blaine County where it filed an updated completion report on the Roser 1711 4-34-3mxh well at 27 17N 11W or about three miles south of Hitchcock. The company’s latest STACK well produced 1,237 barrels of oil a day and 2,340 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,878 feet. The filing indicated there was a correction on the perforation and spacing orders.

Marathon reported completions of two Grady County wells at 22 6N 6W, a site about 3 miles northwest of the town of Alex. One well with production of 374 barrels of oil a day and 5,063 Mcf of natural gas was drilled into the Sycamore formation at a depth of 19,194 feet. It had a July 2019 spud date with completion made in late February 2020.

The second well produced 524 barrels of oil a day and 8,870 Mcf of natural gas out of the Woodford formation from a depth of 21,849 feet. Combined production from the two wells on the single pad was 898 barrels of oil a day.

Fourpoint Energy filed a second completion report on another well from a single pad located southwest of Arnett in Ellis County at 13 18N 25W. The second Warchime 24×25 well had production of 218 barrels of oil a day and 787 Mcf of gas from a depth of 20,000 feet in the Cleveland formation. It had a July 2019 spud date and completion was made in November 2019.

Combined production from the two wells was 564 barrels of oil a day.
