Wells are still being completed despite low prices

While oil prices are in the low 20s, oil and gas companies are still drilling and still completing wells in Oklahoma.

The latest completion reports showed an amended filing by Marathon Oil Company on a Blaine County well with production of 1,862 barrels of oil a day and 3,410 Mcf of gas. The Hr. Potter 1511 93-34mxh well had a May 2018 spud date and completion was made in September of 2018.

New wells were completed according to filings with the Corporation Commission. Jones Energy LLC completed a Canadian County well with production of 604 barrels of oil a day and 4,453 Mcf of natural gas.

Continental Resources completed a Carter County well that had production of 420 barrels of oil a day and 568 Mcf of natural gas.

Jones Energy LLC also completed a well in Ellis County in northwestern Oklahoma with production of 426 barrels of oil daily and 134 Mcf of natural gas.

In Grady County, Jones Energy LLC also completed a well with natural gas production of 4,516 Mcf.

Two other wells were completed in Grady County, one by Continental Resources with production of 237 barrels of oil a day and 1,457 Mcf of natural gas. The second was by Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc and had production of 557 barrels of oil a day and 2,079 Mcf of natural gas.

Two wells were reported completed in Kingfisher County. Sk Nemaha LLC completed one with 196 barrels of oil a day and 489 Mcf of natural gas. The second well was completed by Triumph Energy LLC and it showed production of 130 barrels of oil a day and 110 Mcf of natural gas.

The latest permits to drill included two wells to be drilled in Carter County and one each in McClain, Stephens and Washita Counties.
