Chesapeake board member acquires more shares in company

 

A filing with the Securities Exchange Commission shows another member of the board of directors for Chesapeake Energy acquired more shares in the company.

Thomas L. Ryan, a director since May 2013, acquired 29,070 shares valued at 86 cents each or $25,000 total. The acquisition was made on January 2, 2020 and leaves him with 957,601 shares in direct ownership and another 180,000 owned by a trust.

Ryan is Chairman and CEO of the Board of Service Corporation International. He has been CEO since 2005 and Chairman since January 2016.

Last week, four executives of Chesapeake Energy filed SEC reports showing their December 31, 2019 acquisition of hundreds of thousands of shares in the company. They were made by CEO Robert Lawler, Executive Vice President James Webb, Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer William Buergler, and Deomenic Dell’Osso Jr.
