Regulators adopt changes to rules of petroleum storage tanks

Some changes to Oklahoma’s Petroleum Storage Tank rules have been approved by the Corporation Commission.

The changes focused on fuel inspection, underground storage tanks, aboveground storage tanks, indemnity fund and corrective action of petroleum storage tank releases.

The changes were identified in an announcement by the OCC:

“The proposed permanent rules for the Petroleum Storage Tank Division, RM 201900005, Chapter 15, Fuel Inspection; RM 201900006, Chapter 25, Underground Storage Tanks; RM 201900007, Chapter 26, Aboveground Storage Tanks; RM 201900008, Chapter 27, Indemnity Fund; and RM 201900009, Chapter 29, Corrective Action of Petroleum Storage Tank Releases were adopted by the Commissioners at a public hearing held on December 10, 2019.  They have been filed  and  placed on the Commission’s website at ttp://www.occeweb.com.”
