New shipping season opened for Bakken Pipeline System

 

Texas- based Energy Transfer LP announced its subsidiaries Dakota Access, LLC and Energy Transfer Crude Oil Company LLC launched a binding supplemental open season for shipper commitments to its Bakken Pipeline system.

The season will provide the transportation of crude oil from the Bakken/Three Forks play in North Dakota to storage terminals located in Patoka,Illinois and to Nederland, Texas. The Bakken line eventually carries oil to the Cushing hub in Oklahoma. The open season started Monday at 12 p.m. Central Time.

The Bakken Pipeline system went into service June 1, 2017. It is a 1,915-mile, mostly 30-inch pipeline system that transports crude oil from the Bakken/Three Forks production areas in North Dakota.
