House Energy Committee Democrats start hearings into government shutdown

Oklahoma congressman Markwayne Mullin, now in the minority on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce will be among those this week exploring the impact of the partial government shutdown on the environment.

The Committee on Energy and Commerce, now chaired by Democrat Rep. Frank Pallone of New Jersey will hold a hearing on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 10 a.m. The hearing is entitled “Examining the Trump Shutdown’s Devastating Impact on Federal Workers, Public Health, the Environment and Consumers.”

The hearing will be available for viewing through live streaming.
