Newfield Exploration brings in 7 more STACK wells

Houston’s Newfield Exploration company filed several completion reports this week indicating its busy activity in Oklahoma’s STACK play.

Seven reports were on file including three for Canadian County, one in Dewey County and three in Kingfisher county.

Two of the three in Canadian County were multi-wells on a single pad site at 12 14N 7W. The Okarche 1407 2h-12x wells are located about 4 miles east of Okarche. Production ranged from a high of 853 Boed to 625 Boed and 300 barrels of oil a day.

The wells were spudded in March with drilling finished in April and May and completions were made in July, 2018. The oil was discovered in the Mississippian and Woodford zones.

Newfield also brought in three wells in Kingfisher county. Two were multi-well sites on a single pad at 5 15N 6W which is about 4 miles southeast of Kingfisher. The Vickie 1506 3H-8 wells were spudded in June with drilling finished later in the month and completion made in July.

The third well, Hauser 1709 6H-27x is located about 13 miles northwest of Kingfisher at 21 17N 9W.  The well had an April spud date following by the end of drilling in May and completion in July. Production was 813 Boed, the largest of the three Kingfisher county wells reported by Newfield.
