Making the Forbes 400 list of billionaires

Thanks to energy, at least six Oklahomans made the Forbes 400 list of wealthiest Americans. They are billionaires.

Topping the Oklahoma list is Harold Hamm,  founder of Continental Resources Inc., the firm that has made him worth an estimated $17.2 billion. He is the highest Oklahoman ranked on the list of 400 and came in at 29.

Tulsan George Kaiser, owner of Francis-Kaiser Oil Company and majority owner and chairman of Bank of Oklahoma is worth $8.2 billion and ranks 62 on the Forbes list.

David Green, founder of the Hobby Lobby chain of stores is worth $7 billion and is ranked 73rd on the list. Hobby Lobby has more than 800 stores across the nation.

Tom Love and Judy Love have $7 billion in wealth based on the Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores they founded. Together, they rank 73 on the list.

Lynn Schusterman is worth $3.3 billion and is ranked 239 on the Forbes list. She sold the oil and gas company Samson resources founded by her late husband.
