Expansion of wastewater disposal service in Permian

In the Permian Basin where water and wastewater disposal are nearly as important as crude oil, Oilfield Water Logistics announced completion of a high capacity pipeline linking more than 200 miles of water pipeline gathering.

The firm’s Hat Connection project is across the Northern Delaware Basin in Lea County, New Mexico. At the same time, the company broke ground on its Red Hills Water Gathering System line expansion project with a new 11-mile extension into Loving County, Texas.

The company said the projects will provide producers access to disposal capacity and re-use capabilities.

Additionally, OWL has selected a contractor, secured a rig and spud its most recent saltwater disposal well in connection with its system capacity expansion plans. The Titan SWD will be located in Loving County and will be tied into OWL’s produced water pipeline network.

OWL also signed two disposal agreements with leading producers and committed volumes in the Powder River Basin, and is currently expanding its Thunder Basin facility in Converse County, Wyoming to meet growing demand in the Powder River Basin.
