From Washington DC to Workers Comp Commission for EPA Attorney

As she heads back to Oklahoma to become the new General Counsel to the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Commission, attorney Sarah Greenwalt is not finished with Washington, D.C.

She’s departing as EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s legal counsel, having joined him when he left Oklahoma as Attorney General. She was considered one of his top aides as he was AG.

But it was earlier this year when Greenwalt and another aide received disputed salary increases. Soshe will testify later this month before a panel of U.S. House Oversight committee staffers who are investigating a series of ethics allegations against Pruitt.

Greenwalt was the second top Pruitt aide to quit in the past several days. Pruitt’s scheduler, Millan Hupp resigned after lawmakers released testimony from her indicating Pruitt had directed her to house-hunt for him and ask about buying a used mattress from a Trump hotel.

While Pruitt called Greenwalt a “tremendous leader,” she in turn praised him for what she called his visionary leadership and tenacity.

She previously was a law clerk at the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Assistant Solicitor General, General counsel to the Attorney General and Senior Counsel to EPA Administrator Pruitt.
Greenwalt will officially begin work at the Commission June 25.
