Oilman Harold Hamm Named to Board at Conservative America First Priorities

Oklahoma oilman Harold Hamm has been named to the board of directors of a national conservative group that focuses on making America first.

The America First Policies made the announcement Monday. It is a non-profit organization, that according to its website supports “key policy initiatives that will work for all citizens in our country and put America first.”

“Mr. Hamm’s extensive business background and policy knowledge, especially in the areas of domestic energy and job growth, and his commitment to initiatives that support American energy independence make him an invaluable addition to the board of directors,” said Brian O. Walsh, President of America First Policies.

The announcement included a statement from Hamm founder and CEO of Continental Resources Inc.

“I’m honored to join the board of directors and look forward to helping drive a policy agenda that promotes energy independence, job creation, regulatory reform, and a strong national defense,” said Mr. Hamm. “America First Policies is educating millions of Americans on the most prominent issues facing our country and providing an outlet for them to take action.”

Hamm has also been an energy adviser to President Trump and supported his campaign for President in 2016.

America First Policies also has been a strong supporter of President Trump and recently launched a $500,000 ad buy aimed at thanking three Republican senators for voting for the Senate’s tax plan. The ads included a thank you to Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, John McCain of Arizona and Jeff Flake of Arizona.
