No Letup in STACK Success and Interest

There has been no letup in the exploration in Oklahoma’s STACK play as indicated by the latest completion and permits to drill reports published by OK Energy Today.

The completion reports show Newfield Exploration with moderate success in a 588 barrel a day oil well in Canadian County and another one in Kingfisher County.  Chesapeake Operating LLC reported a well also in Kingfisher county.

Devon Energy Production reported a well in Dewey County which is just at the edge of the three-county STACK play.

More drilling is obviously on the horizon as indicated in the Permits to Drill.

Three permits were granted for Canadian County—-two to Chaparral Energy and one to Cimarex Energy. Lagoon SWD LLC obtained a permit to drill in Dewey County.

Four permits were approved for more drilling in Kingfisher County. Chesapeake Energy received two permits while Overflow Energy LLC and Oklahoma Energy Acquisitions LP received the others.
