State’s Gasoline Average Falls to $2.86 says GasBuddy.com

Gasoline prices keep falling in Oklahoma and the statewide average is now $2.86 a gallon, according to GasBuddy.com. The new average compares to $2.99 a week ago and to $3.06 one month ago.

Nationally, the GasBuddy average is $2.93 a gallon compared to the $3.26 paid by motorists a month ago. While some convenience stores such as a 7-Eleven in Yukon are pumping gasoline as low as $2.49 a gallon, at least one store in northwest Oklahoma City has a pump price of $2.38 a gallon. Several others in the metro area are selling it for $2.40 a gallon.

Oklahoma City’s average is now $2.78 and GasBuddy says it compares to $2.99 one week ago and the $3.03 average a month ago. Tulsa’s average is down to $2.88 a gallon. Last week, its average was $2.97 while a month ago the average price in Tulsa was $2.98. The lowest prices found in Tulsa over the weekend were $2.60 a gallon.

Typically the highest average is found in Guymon where the lowest price is $3.06 a gallon.
