Oklahoma U.S. Sen. James Lankford wants to do even more to boost President Trump’s efforts to grow America’s energy industry into a worldwide leader. And at the same time reverse the Biden administration’s war on the U.S. energy industry.
He and three other Republicans on Capitol Hill are reported to be behind legislation to do just that. They call it the Transparency and Honesty in Energy Regulations Act, according to the Washington Reporter. The paper indicated the Act is designed to bolster President Trump’s “Unleashing American Energy” plan and eradicate the flawed “social cost” of greenhouse gases of the Biden administration.
“Under President Trump, American energy dominance is back, and states like Oklahoma are fueling the charge,” said Lankford, according to the Washington Reporter.
“This bill pushes back on the Biden Administration’s war on American energy producers by ensuring federal rulemaking is grounded in facts—not flawed models or political agendas. It’s a necessary step to restore transparency, rein in government overreach, and keep American energy competitive.”
The report indicated a trio of Republic Representatives, Richard Hudson of North Carolina, August Pfluger of Texas and Troy Balderson of Ohio are behind the bill.
