The nation’s crude oil stocks rose in the most recent reporting period reported the federal government while the Cushing Hub in Oklahoma saw a decrease of more than 1 million barrels.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported the U.S. crude stocks totaled 441.8 million barrels as of the week of May 9. It was an increase of 3.4 million barrels from the 438.4 million barrels reported in the week of May 2, 2025.
But the Cushing Hub’s crude stocks fell 1.1 million barrels from 25 million barrels recorded the week of May 2 to 23.9 million barrels the following week of May 9, 2025.
