Oklahoma oil billionaire Harold Hamm was among the oil executives who met with President Trump Wednesday at the White House where they discussed his plans to increase domestic energy production.
Hamm, founder and CEO of Continental Resources and one of Trump’s biggest political donors joined other executives in their first sit-down with the President since his return to office in January.
Reuters reported the discussion focused not so much on the falling price of oil but more on pushing American energy ddominance, reforming the permit process and the need to build up the U.S. electricity grid to compete with China in the area of artificial intelligence.
After the meeting, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and Energy Secretary Chris Wright talked with reporters.
