Crude stock gains were recorded across the U.S. and at Oklahoma’s Cushing Hub in the past week, according to the most government figures released this week.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration recorded a 4.1 million barrel gain for the U.S. from 423.8 million barrels the week of Jan. 31 to 427.9 million barrels as of the week ending Feb. 7, 2025. The gain since Jan. 24 was 12.8 million barrels. However, the current crude stock is still below the 439.4 million recorded on Feb.9, 2024.
The Cushing Hub in northern Oklahoma recorded an increase of 900,000 barrels from Jan. 31 to Feb. 7…20.9 million up to 21.8 million barrels. But it is also 7 million barrels less than a year ago when Cushing held 28.8 million barrels.
