Maybe things are worse money-wise for Canoo than the company led the public to believe.
A month after furloughing workers at its Oklahoma City plant and pausing operations, the company revealed it intends to auction off some of its engineering and manufacturing equipment this month in California. A company spokesperson explained it is part of the company’s continuing efforts to restructure.
“The company is selling equipment as part of its Realignment of its North American Operations,” said Susan Donahue, managing director for Skyya, a public relations firm representing the EV company, reported The Oklahoman.
The auction followed Canoo’s shutdown of its Oklahoma City manufacturing plant and its battery operation in Pryor just prior to Christmas.
