Turnpike convenience stores at Vinita, Lone Chimney plan for short duration closures for rebranding to Maverik in early November

 

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority’s concession partner Maverik plans a rebrand project at its convenience stores in Vinita off I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike and at Lone Chimney off US-412/Cimarron Turnpike in November.

This will necessitate store and fuel closures; however, food service and restrooms will remain available to the public at the Vinita locations.

The store and fuel closures are scheduled for the following times:

  • The convenience store accessible from eastbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike at Vinita (mm 288) will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, through 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Fuel pumps will close from 11 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7.
  • The convenience store accessible from westbound I-44/Will Rogers Turnpike at Vinita (mm 288) will close from 6 p.m. Nov. 10 through 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Fuel pumps will be closed from 11 p.m. Nov. 10 to 4 p.m. Nov. 11.
  • The convenience store on US-412/Cimaron Turnpike just west of SH-18 (mm 37) near Lone Chimney will be closed from 6 p.m. Nov. 18 to 2 p.m. Nov. 20. Fuel pumps will be closed from 11 p.m. Nov. 18 to 4 p.m. Nov. 19.

Motorists are advised to plan accordingly for fuel needs during these times.
