Tallest tower to be built in US opposed by OKC Airports Director

Plans by a developer to build the tallest tower, not only in Oklahoma City but the U.S. are being opposed by the Oklahoma City Airport trust.

The Oklahoman reports Airports Director Jeff Mulder sent a letter of formal opposition to the Federal Aviation Administration. He contends the proposed 1,907 foot-high building, to be built in Bricktown by California developer Scot Matteson, would endanger aircraft and cause flights to circle the city before landing at Will Rogers International Airport. Mulder also claims it would endanger aircraft flying in and out of Tinker Air Force Base.
