Solar and wind can’t totally replace natural gas for power generation says SPP

When wind and solar power are unable to fulfill demands for electricity generation, what’s the option?

The Southwest Power Pool says it’s natural gas and executives made their point this week during a panel discussion at the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ annual meeting in Anaheim, California.

It was an emphasis for continued use of natural gas in states such as Oklahoma, a member of the SPP.
