New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has been critical of her state’s oil and gas industry at times, but not when she was part of a panel at the New Mexico Oil and Gas Association’s recent annual meeting.
Instead, she used the occasion to stress the importance of educational development in New Mexico, something helped by the millions and millions of dollars in revenue from the oil and gas production. She made it clear she wants to take advantage of the oil and gas money.
“(The) reality is right now: New Mexico is the lead state in the country for the kind of investments and shifts in education,” Lujan Grisham said, according to the New Mexico Political Report.
