Arkansas to get a second Buc-ee’s center

While some Oklahomans clamor for a Buc-ee’s center in their state, they might be disturbed to learn Arkansas will be getting its second Buc-ee’s.

Reports indicate the company will build a 74,000 square foot travel center in West Memphis neaer Interstate 40 and Interstate 55. The center will have more than 120 fueling locations and produce more than 200 jobs for the area.

Naturally, West Memphis tourism officials are excited.

“”Buc-ee’s will not only serve as a major stop for travelers but also draw new visitors to our area, showcasing everything West Memphis has to offer,” said Jim Jackson, West Memphis tourism director, reported Arkansas Business.

The first Buc-ee’s center is to be built in Benton and the company is reported to be awaiting federal approval of a water quality permit.
