New Mexico regulators cancel wells linked to earthquakes in Permian Basin

The New Mexico Oil Conservation division cancelled the wells along the state’s southern border with Texas as the state’s seismology experts cited a link between the earthquakes and the injection wells, something very similar to what Oklahoma researchers concluded several years ago during a rash of earthquakes also linked to the wells.
