Texas Governor wants investigation of Houston’s power loss

While OG&E crews are helping CenterPoint Energy struggle with restoring electrical power to hurricane-stricken Houston, the governor of Texas wants an investigation into the loss of power to more than 2 million people.

Gov. Greg Abbott wants to know why the residents have to wait so long, according to a report by the Austin American-Statesman.

“What I’m going to be doing immediately is instructing the Public Utility Commission to undertake an immediate study to find out why this is repeatedly happening in Houston, Texas,” Abbott told Bloomberg TV in an interview from Asia where he is on an extended trade mission. “They should not be losing power.”
