At least two Oklahomans in the U.S. House of Representatives have condemned the energy stances of Vice President Kamala Harris who is now running for President.
Congresswoman Stephanie Bice told OK Energy Today, “Vice President Harris, who once called to end all fracking, is no friend to the oil and gas industry. In fact, I am extremely worried that an administration led by Vice President Harris would fully implement the left’s Green New Deal agenda.”
Rep. Bice said domestic energy production is incredibly important for Oklahoma and must be protected.
Rep. Tom Cole was just as critical.
“From supporting a ban on hydraulic fracturing to pushing the Green New Deal to suing the Obama Administration over fracking, Vice President Harris has consistently attacked the United States oil and gas industry throughout her political career. Therefore, I have no doubt that as President she would make policy decisions that will throttle American-made energy – but in Oklahoma, supporting domestic natural gas production is not just an academic exercise.”
Cole went on to state that hundreds of thousands of his constituents, like countless others across the country, make a living in the industry.
” We cannot afford to have a Harris administration that will hamper the American energy industry, and I believe we will see that reflected when the American people go to the voting booths in November.”
Cole predicted Donald Trump will win in November because for the past three and a half years of the Biden Democratic administration, the country has been plagued with crisis after crisis.
He pointed to “a wide-open border, surging inflation that is draining Americans’ pocketbooks, an increasingly dangerous world stage, skyrocketing crime, an opioid epidemic, increasing energy costs that are falling on the ratepayers, alarmingly weakened national security, and so much more.”
Cole said Oklahomans who are bearing the brunt of “these failed far-left policies” want to put the nation on a better path. The Congressman said he believes Trump will win Oklahoma “just like he did in 2016 and 2020.”
