The large tornado reported Tuesday evening in southwest Oklahoma caught more than the usual attention. Weather experts say it not only was an immense tornado, but it actually reversed course in Tillman County.
It spun in the “wrong” direction,” said the meteorologists and became what they call a “looping” tornado near the city of Hollis.
“You certainly don’t see this every day,” Rick Smith, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Norman, Oklahoma, told CNN.
