Denver University expects to have 100% of electricity provided by solar power in 3 years

The University of Denver’s push to become more focused on green energy should make the University solar-powered within three years.

The school hopes to have 100% of its electricity on the campus powered from solar farms in surrounding counties and from new solar panels installed on campus buildings.

The Colorado Sun reported DU plans to install 23 megawatts of panels dedicated to the school’s commitment to become net zero in carbon emissions by 2030. Its next green energy step will be to reduce reliance on natural gas to heat campus buildings and provide hot water.
