Crude oil prices fell on Monday while Oklahoma energy stocks made gains

Crude oil prices dropped on Monday as investors still feel that despite the tension between Israel and Iran and Israel’s continued war against Hamas, they don’t think there is serious risk to the flow of oil out of the Middle East.

West Texas Intermediate crude prices in the U.S. closed down 29 cents or 0.35% per barrel at $82.85 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, also fell 29 cents or 0.33% per barrel and finished at $87.00 on ICE Futures Europe.

May natural gas rose 4 cents to $1.79 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Monday produced gains for most Oklahoma energy stocks. Only a few recorded losses while the remainder scored moderate increases.

Other energy stocks had the same kind of day with a few recording losses while most had gains, according to the Texas Energy Report.

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) up 0.16 at 29.00 – change 0.55%

EOG Resources (EOG) up 0.73 at 133.90 – change 0.54%

Exxon Mobil (XOM) up 0.68 at 120.56 – change 0.56%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.02 at 18.82 – change 0.11%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.15 at 27.65 – change 0.54%

NOV Inc. (NOV) down 0.16 at 18.59 – change 0.86%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.37 at 67.00 – change 0.55%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 2.34 at 157.05 – change 1.51%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 3.20 at 273.51 – change 1.18%

Tellurian Inc. (TELL) down 0.07 at 0.43 – change 12.58%
