Crude oil and Oklahoma energy stocks finished the week with gains

Crude oil prices finished up on Friday but down for the week. The gain in prices on Friday came after Iran downplayed Israel’s missile attack which came days after Iran sent hundreds of missiles and drones over Israel.

West Texas Intermediate crude gained 41 cents or 0.5% to reach $83.14 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The June contract, considered to be more active, finished 12 cents higher at $82.22 barrel.

Global benchmark Brent crude rose 18 cents or 0.21% and finished at $87.29 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

May natural gas fell 1 cent to $1.75 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Oklahoma energy stocks finished the week on Friday with a strong trading day and only a few firms recorded losses while some, like Empire Corporation, had a 9% gain for the day.

The Texas Energy Report indicated other energy stocks also had a strong trading day on Friday.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 1.41 at 133.16 – change 1.07%

Exxon Mobil (XOM) up 1.36 at 119.88 – change 1.14%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.63 at 18.84 – change 3.45%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.10 at 27.50 – change 0.36%

NOV Inc. (NOV) up 0.25 at 18.75 – change 1.35%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.59 at 66.63 – change 0.89%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.40 at 154.71 – change 0.91%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 2.34 at 270.31 – change 0.87%

Tellurian Inc. (TELL) up 0.10 at 0.49 – change 28.10%
