Crude oil ended weaker following Thursday’s trading

Weaker U.S. gasoline demand data led Thursday to a drop in crude oil prices. Adding to the pressure was a UN draft resolutlion that called for a ceasefire in Gaza.

West Texas Intermediate crude for May fell 20 cents or 0.3% to $81.07 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for May finished 17 cents or 0.2% down at $85.78 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

April natural gas fell 2 cents to $1.68 per 1,000 cubic feet.

While Oklahoma energy stocks were mixed in Thursday’s trading, some firms such as Mammoth Energy and Gulfport Energy recorded 3% gains. But Empire Petroleum Corp. suffered a 4% loss for the day.

Many other energy stocks, according to the Texas Energy Report, recorded gains for the day.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 0.38 at 126.08 – change 0.30%

Exxon Mobil (XOM) up 0.50 at 113.49 – change 0.44%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.08 at 18.11 – change 0.44%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.10 at 27.20 – change 0.36%

NOV Inc. (NOV) up 0.17 at 19.35 – change 0.88%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.14 at 63.93 – change 0.21%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 0.32 at 159.08 – change 0.20%
