Colorado legislature still considers bill to end oil and gas drilling in 6 years

NATURAL GAS INSTALLATIONS WELD COUNTY

At last word, a bill to stop new oil and gas development in Colorado by 2030 was still alive.

However, some observers believe its chances of winning approval in the entire legislature is not strong…..it likely won’t survive.

Democratic lawmakers and environmentalists are behind the bill, including Sen. Sonaya Jaquez Lewis who sponsored the measure.

“This bill is the necessary step to ensure that Colorado is truly committed to a clean, sustainable energy future.”
