Climate activists who want Colorado to ban all new oil and gas drilling in the next six years recently rallied at the state capitol, urging support for a bill in the state legislature.
Senate Bill 24-159 would require Colorado oil and gas regulators to stop issuing new drilling permits by Jan. 1, 2030.
“Enough is enough,” state Sen. Sonya Jaquez Lewis, a Lafayette Democrat, said at a press conference alongside climate activists at the Capitol on Friday reported Colorado Newsline.
