NextEra Energy, the company with several wind farms in Oklahoma, recently made a donation to help the high school band at Bray-Doyle Public Schools.
A new 24-foot trailer will help the school haul band equipment. The donation was made by Rush Springs Wind,part of NextEra Energy Resources.
The Duncan Banner reported BDPS Superintendent Dr. Smith Steigleder was especially appreciative and the donation came at a good time for the band.
“We lost significant funding and to have different partnerships with organizations that can replace a little bit of that funding and help us out and do incredible things for the kids, it’s a big deal.”
