Crude made gains on Tuesday along with Oklahoma energy stocks

While crude oil prices gained more than $1 a barrel in Tuesday’s trading, Oklahoma energy made strong gains.

The price gains came after two developments—a U.S. Energy Department report indicated crude oil production would grow less than forecast and a possible lengthy cease-fire in the Gaza War.

West Texas Intermediate crude rose 53 cents or 0.73% to finish the day at $73.51 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude gained 60 cents or 0.77% and closed at $78.59 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

March natural gas fell 7 cents to $2.07 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Oklahoma energy stocks had a strong day, recording gains, including 6% for Mammoth Energy, 5% for Matrix Services and 4% for Helmerich & Payne.

For other energy stocks, it was a day of gains, according to the Texas Energy Report.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) up 0.70 at 102.25 – change 0.68%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.02 at 16.69 – change 0.11%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.21 at 22.53 – change 0.94%

NOV Inc. (NOV) up 0.21 at 17.52 – change 1.21%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.59 at 57.57 – change 1.03%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 1.33 at 145.91 – change 0.91%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 1.89 at 228.05 – change 0.83%

Tellurian Inc. (TELL) up 0.11 at 0.47 – change 32.57%
