Crude oil prices finished up as did Oklahoma energy stocks with one firm recording a 12% gain for the day’s trading.
Prices of crude went up because of the growing tensions and worries about the U.S. response to the deaths of three American soldiers killed in Jordan.
US benchmark, West Texas Intermediate crude rose $1.04 or 1.35% and finished at $77.82 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, went up 47 cents to $82.87 a barrel for March futures and finished up 67 cents at $82.50 for April futures.
