Crude oil production to increase in Permian but remain about flat in other regions

 

A report from the U.S. Energy Information Administration anticipates only the Permian Basin will likely see increased crude oil and gas production in February while the Anadarko Basin and others will see slight declines or about the same production.

The Permian’s production is anticipated to increase from 5,969 thousand barrels of oil a day in January to 5,974 thousand barrels a day by February. The Anadarko Basin will see a very slight drop from 392,000 barrels a day in January to 391,000 barrels a day by next month.

The Bakken’s production, according to the EIA projections will go from 1,304 thousand barrels a day this month to 1,303 thousand barrels by February.

Natural gas production in the same regions is also anticipated to change. The Permian, based on the EIA estimate, will see gas production gaining from 24,271 million cubic feet a day in January to 24,393 million cubic feet a day by February.

The Anadarko natural gas production is expected to fallfrom 6,694 million cubic feet a day this month to 6,667 million cubic feet by February.
