Congressman on the mend after run-in with bull

It appears Congressman Frank Lucas has recovered with a run-in about six months ago with a bull that left him with a broken pelvis.

The Republican Representative is known for his farming and ranching operation in western Oklahoma and is believed to be the only active such farmer in Congress.

The Oklahoman reported this week that Lucas was finally released from a doctor’s care for the injuries and confessed he’ll always have screws in his body and likely also have arthritis as he ages. He’s 64 and admits that if he sits too long, such as plane flight, his joints get stiff.
