Crude oil prices recorded a more than 2% gain on Tuesday, the highest level this month. Oklahoma energy stocks also made gains in the days trading following more attacks on ships in ther Red Sea.
West Texas Intermediate crude went up by $2.01 or 2.7% to close at $75.57 a barrels on the New York Mercantile Exhange.
Bent crude settled $2 or 2.5% higher at $81.07na barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
January natural gas fell 6 cents to $2.55 per 1,000 cubic feet.
The Tuesday after Christmast Day brought gains for Oklahoma energy stocks including 5% increases for Mach Natural Resources and Vital Energy.
