After rallying for two sessions, crude oil prices on Tuesday were mixed with U.S. crude slipping and overseas oil prices increasing. The day also produced losses for some Oklahoma energy stocks with one firm experiencing a more than 9% drop for the day.
It was a sign that investors are cautious as they await the OPEC+ meeting this coming Sunday where the producer group could discuss deepening supply cuts.
West Texas Intermediate crude fell 6 cents to settle at $77.77 a barrel on the New York Mercantle Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchcmark, rose 13 cents and finished at $82.45 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
December natural gas fell 3 cents to $2.85 per 1,000 cubic feet.
The day’s trading brought some losses for most Oklahoma energy stocks including a more than 9% drop for Empire Petroleum.
