Dry conditions persist in northwest Oklahoma

The forecast isn’t looking good for much rainfall to end the dry conditions in the northwest part of Oklahoma and extending into the Panhandle.

Gary McManus, State Climatologist wrote in his Wednesday weather update the 30-day rainfall maps from the Mesonet “are particularly dreary.”

As he aptly pointed out, Boise City, Eva and Hooker have received ZERO rainfall in the past month.
Some weather forecasts suggest eastern Oklahoma could receive rainfall this weekend and into early next week.
