Crude oil up, natural gas down and Oklahoma energy stocks incurred moderate losses. It was the outcome of Tuesday’s trading as crude oil rose about 2% as speculation grew that OPEC+ will deepen its supply cuts when it meets this week to consider 2024 production targets.
West Texas Intermediate crude in the U.S. gained $1.55 or 2.1% to close at $76.41 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Brent crude, the global benchmark, finished up $1.70 or 2.1% at $81.68 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
December natural gas fell 8 cents to $2.71 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Tuesday was another day of moderate losses for Oklahoma energy stocks. Mammoth Energy dropped nearly 5% for the day.
Other energy stocks also recorded losses, according to the Texas Energy Report.
