Another broadband board to meet Wednesday

 

Another group focused on spending the $374 million in rural broadband expansion in Oklahoma will meet Wednesday.

The Oklahoma Broadband Expansion Council will meet at the State Capitol to get a status report from the Oklahoma Broadband Office regarding its effort to winnow down the number of applicants eligible for funding.

Oklahoma expects to eventually receive $797.4 million to carry out the Biden administration’s goal of expanding broadband service to all rural areas of the country.

The meeting will begin at 10 a.m. in ther Oklahoma Department of Libraries building.
