While EV maker Canoo has relied on millions of dollars in incentives offered by the state of Oklahoma and the city of Oklahoma City, another strugging EV maker, Rivian is doing its best to take advantage of the Biden administration’s green energy slush fund.
It was reported that Biden’s clean energy czar, John Podesta quietly met with Rivian Automotive CEO Robert “RJ” Scaringe and other officials of the company. Rivian is struggling and as news reports stated, has “floundered financially” since its beginning and relies heavily on taxpayer handouts.
The White House isn’t commenting about what transpired at the meeting and whether the main topic of conversation was another government handout to the electric car maker.
