While much of the lithium-development industry has focused on the nearby Smackover Formation of Southern Arkansas, where at least one Oklahoma City energy firm is deep in development, others are curious about the McDermitt Caldera near the Oregon-Nevada border.
The lithium deposit discovered there could be the largest ever in the U.S. and according to geopolitical observer and commentator Peter Zeihan, has the potential to “shake up the industry.”
