Oh, those worries about what a tighter supply of crude oil will bring. They sent crude oil prices up nearly 1% higher on Tuesday while Oklahoma energy stocks dropped up to 3% and 4%.
West Texas Intermediate crude futures climbed 71 cents or 0.8% to close at $90.39—-rising back above $90 a barrel again on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude finished up 67 cents or 0.7% at $93.96 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
Natural gas finished up 2 cents or 0.64% at $2.66.
Both WTI and Brent rebounded from a slump to a two-week low in early trading.
But the day’s trading brought losses for most Oklahoma energy stocks. OGE had the biggest drop of the day at nearly 4% while ONE Gas and ONEOK each fell 3%.
Other energy stocks had a weak day in trading, according to the Texas Energy Report.
